The inner layer of aluminum foil provides exceptionally high barrier properties of the package as well as mechanical rigidity sufficient to create a “standing” doy-pack. PET film is used as the outer layer of such laminates. It has good adhesion and barrier properties. The inner layer of laminates is a special polyethylene, which must withstand high temperature, without weakening the vacuum joints, which are formed from PE, good weldability and strength. To do this, so-called linear polyethylene is used, obtained from metallocene catalysts. Such polyethylene has a high linearity of molecules that create strong bonds in the polymer during weld formation.
