The applying of this bonding technology gives the highest quality when working with aluminum foil because this is the only way to achieve the most uniform layer of adhesive mixture and to avoid the formation of wrinkles and other defects.
Also solvent lamination allows the use of adhesive systems possessing the highest chemical properties necessary to create a package intended for the packaging of chemically active fillers such as certain types of spices, household chemicals.
Solvent lamination is a process in which a two -component polyurethane glue is brought to the surface of an engraved laminated material with a solvent to the required viscosity, and the base is evaporated from it by means of heating and a stream of hot air. Then the material with the adhesive layer obtained on its surface is connected (laminated) with the second material by means of a heated pressure roller.
A feature of this method of gluing films is a very accurate and uniform distribution of the adhesive on the film surface, which facilitates work with sensitive to mechanical loads.
Another advantage of this technology is the possibility of using special series of adhesives, for example, resistant to aggressive chemical attack. This is relevant in the manufacture of packaging for spices containing a large amount of essential oils or for packaging of aggressive household chemicals.
